TUM Global Postdoc Fellowship: The TUM Global Postdoc Fellowship is an attractive two-year fellowship program designed for excellent researchers who have recently completed their PhD. This fellowship provides the opportunity for up to 10 international young scientists to conduct research at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) in collaboration with TUM hosts.

Research Area

The fellowship is open to all research topics. Applicants should propose a research project aligned with the research focus of a TUM department/institute/lab supported by their TUM host.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Doctoral researchers who have completed their PhD within the last three years or are in their final year (completion within the next 12 months).
  • Must be residing outside of Germany at the time of application.
  • Cannot have previously worked at TUM or obtained their PhD from TUM.

Job Description

The TUM Global Postdoc Fellowship enables researchers to advance their academic careers while diversifying their research profiles. The fellowship includes:

  • A stipend for living expenses for 24 months.
  • Support for developing new research projects alongside TUM scientists.
  • Guidance and resources from TUM’s central services throughout the fellowship.
