Two Funded Postdoctoral Positions: The Manel lab at Institut Curie, Paris, is inviting applications for two funded postdoctoral positions in the field of aging, macrophages, and lung cancer research. The project aims to investigate the cellular mechanisms of aging in the immune system that control the progression and therapy of lung cancer, using mouse models and patient cohorts, single-cell and spatial omics approaches. The successful candidate will join a highly collaborative and international research environment at Institut Curie, which combines a leading research center with a cancer hospital.

Scholarship Description: The Manel lab at Institut Curie, Paris, is offering two funded postdoctoral positions to investigate the cellular mechanisms of aging in the immune system that control the progression and therapy of lung cancer. The project will use mouse models and patient cohorts, single-cell and spatial omics approaches to study the cellular mechanisms of aging in alveolar macrophages, which have been recently discovered to acquire hallmarks of senescence. The positions are part of a 5-year collaborative project funded by the ARC Foundation and will benefit from a highly collaborative and international research environment at Institut Curie, which combines a leading research center with a cancer hospital.
Eligibility: The scholarship is open to candidates who have a PhD in Immunology or Cancer Biology based on mouse models or human tissues.
Required Documents: Interested candidates should submit a cover letter containing a statement of interests and future goals, a CV with a list of publications, and contact information for two references to nicolas.manel@curie.fr.
How to Apply: The applications should be submitted via email to nicolas.manel@curie.fr.
Last Date: The scholarship position is open for applications until filled, with a flexible start date from July 2023.
