Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in economics, engineering, mathematics, environmental science, or related fields.
- Familiarity with programming languages.
- Excellent academic track record and strong motivation for scientific inquiry.
- Experience in energy systems analysis, GIS modeling, and statistics is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English (Swedish language skills are a plus).
Description: The Energy Systems Group at Chalmers University of Technology is dedicated to advancing our understanding of future energy landscapes. We are seeking two motivated PhD students to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge research initiatives. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and rigorous data analysis, we aim to address pressing questions surrounding the resilience of energy systems under extreme weather events, sustainable pathways for biomass utilization, public acceptance of wind and solar deployment, and implications for international trade patterns. As a PhD student, you will work independently, participate in research seminars and conferences, and fulfill teaching obligations.
