Two Postdoc Positions on the Ecology: The University of Southern Denmark is inviting applications for two postdoctoral positions in the Nordcee research group within the Department of Biology. The successful candidates will focus on the study of the physiology and ecology of microbial communities in oxygen-depleted environments, which are critical for understanding global element cycles and greenhouse gas emissions.

Eligibility/Qualification
- A PhD in Environmental Microbiology, Microbial Ecology, Microbial Physiology, or a related field.
- Candidates should have a strong publication record and research experience involving meta-omics data analysis, microbial physiology, enzyme biochemistry, or microscopy techniques.
Job Description
The postdoctoral positions aim to understand the physiological and ecological roles of key microbial players in global element cycles within oxygen-depleted environments. Responsibilities will include:
- Identifying the activity and distribution of specific microbial groups.
- Investigating enzymatic pathways related to nitrogen transformation.
- Conducting assays to evaluate microbial adaptations and performance in low-oxygen conditions.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should apply electronically and include the following documents:
