Two Postdoctoral Positions on Golgi Phosphate, University of Lausanne, Switzerland

PhD Fellowship IN Switzerland

Two Postdoctoral Positions on Golgi Phosphate: The University of Lausanne invites applications for two postdoctoral positions in the laboratory of Prof. Yves Poirier at the Department of Plant Molecular Biology (DBMV). The research projects aim to discover genes and mechanisms regulating phosphate transport and homeostasis in the Golgi and associated organelles.

Job Description:

Two Postdoctoral Positions on Golgi Phosphate Transport & Homeostasis

Postdoctoral Researcher (Position 1):

  • Develop and use genetically encoded fluorescent biosensors.
  • Investigate the contribution of key genes to phosphate homeostasis in the Golgi.
  • Utilize Arabidopsis and yeast for experimental work.
  • Strong expertise in confocal microscopy, including FRET, is required.

Postdoctoral Researcher (Position 2):

  • Focus on understanding the role of novel genes in Golgi phosphate homeostasis.
  • Work with genes identified through mutagenesis and gene mapping in Arabidopsis.
  • Emphasis on molecular genetics and biochemistry of solute transporters.

How to Apply: Interested candidates should send the following documents to Yves.Poirier@unil.ch:

  1. CV
  2. Outline of research interest
  3. Names and addresses of two references

Last Date for Apply: Rolling applications until positions are filled.

Location: Lausanne, Switzerland

Starting date for both positions is ideally in the first half of 2024, and funding is available until the end of 2027. For further details about the laboratory and the department, visit www.unil.ch/dbmv/en/home.html.

Join us in advancing the understanding of phosphate transport and homeostasis in the Golgi. The University of Lausanne is committed to providing an inclusive and diverse work environment. We encourage applications from qualified candidates of all backgrounds.
