Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in circuit quantum electrodynamics (cQED) (to be completed before employment)
- Proven excellence in at least five of the following areas:
- Quantum-mechanical modeling of microwave circuits
- Electromagnetic modeling of microwave circuits
- CAD design of microwave circuits
- Room temperature and cryogenic measurement setups for microwave circuits
- Data acquisition from quantum microwave circuit measurements
- Scientific publication in the domain of quantum microwaves
- Sample fabrication
- Strong publication record showcasing potential for academic progression
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Finnish is not required
- Teamwork and thesis supervision skills are advantageous
Job Description
The selected candidates will:
- Conduct research on the scientific requirements for autonomous quantum processing unit (AQPU) development.
- Design, execute experiments, and analyze data on critical topics for AQPU realization.
- Collaborate with team members in regular meetings to discuss progress and strategy.
- Mentor junior researchers and supervise BSc, MSc, and potentially PhD theses.
- Generate reports to track progress and share outcomes with the team.
- Collaborate with national and international partners in the field.
