Job Description: The successful candidate will join a collaborative team, contributing to a pre-clinical work package for a gene therapy approach. Responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments, developing technical advances, data analysis, and presenting results. The role involves working with induced pluripotent stem cells, molecular cloning, and analyzing changes in gene expression. The position offers opportunities for collaboration, training in new methods, and attendance at scientific meetings.

- Practical experience in laboratory techniques (cell culture, molecular cloning, RNA isolation, etc.)
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with primary cells and tissues
- Neuronal phenotyping (e.g., neurite outgrowth assays)
- Flow cytometry and genome editing experience
- High throughput microscopy experience
*Note: Candidates awaiting award of their PhDs will be considered, with initial appointment as Research Assistant (Grade 5, spine point 30). Upon PhD confirmation, the role will become Research Associate (Grade 6) with a salary increase.
