Eligibility/Qualification:
- A Ph.D. in Science Communication, Science and Technology Studies, or a related field.
- Track record of independent research with peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, awards, and collaborations.
- Interdisciplinary research experience in science, innovation, and transformative change.
- Knowledge of areas such as responsible innovation, science and public policy, and mission-based innovation. Experience in biophysical sciences, bioeconomy, synthetic biology, AI, or sociotechnical innovations is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to individual and collaborative research.

UNESCO Chair in Science Communication for the Public Good Research Fellow
The Research Fellow will support the UNESCO Chair on Science Communication for the Public Good by conducting collaborative research, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge exchange. This role involves working closely with the Chair-holder and team members to develop internationally engaged research on science communication’s role in addressing global challenges and the UN 2030 Agenda. The Fellow will contribute to innovative approaches to bridge gaps in knowledge and practices related to innovation, ‘good science,’ and the public good, especially in response to planetary crises. The specific research focus will depend on the Fellow’s expertise and interests, potentially covering areas like the bioeconomy, AI, circular economy, synthetic biology, and sociotechnical innovations in domains like food and agriculture.
