Research Area: Modern Greek Studies with a focus on history or literature
Location: Vienna, Austria
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Outstanding dissertation in Modern Greek Studies completed within the last 8 years
- Research competence demonstrated through international publications
- Experience in participating in research projects
- Didactic skills and university teaching experience
- Proficiency in Modern Greek and English (German and South Eastern European language desirable)
- International experience and familiarity with university procedures
Job Description: The successful candidate will actively contribute to research, teaching, and administration in Modern Greek Studies. Responsibilities include building an independent research profile, participating in research projects, publishing internationally, lecturing, organizing workshops, applying for projects and raising third-party funding, and preparing a publication-ready habilitation thesis. Teaching responsibilities include conducting two courses per semester, student supervision, and involvement in teaching projects. Administrative tasks in research and teaching are also part of the role.
