Eligibility/Qualification
- Degree: Doctoral degree in soil-crop modeling, soil science, agricultural engineering, environmental engineering, hydrology, plant physiology, or a related field.
- Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of crop responses to various stresses (abiotic and biotic).
- Knowledge of agricultural simulation models.
- Experience with programming languages such as FORTRAN, C++, R, or Python.
Job Description
Participants will research and improve crop models, focusing on incorporating abiotic factors (e.g., excessive water, extreme temperature, hail, and wind damage). Responsibilities include:
- Conducting literature searches.
- Developing modeling methodologies.
- Model development and testing.
- Comprehensive modeling studies.
- Preparation of research reports and publications.
The mentorship will be provided by VR Reddy, who will guide participants through their research endeavors.
