VP9 Researcher (Junior/Postdoc): The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VSB Technical University of Ostrava is seeking two dynamic individuals for the role of VP9 Researcher (Junior/Postdoc) for the Department of Cybernetics and Biomedical Engineering. This position is part of the Life Environment Research Center Ostrava (LERCO) project under the Biomedical Engineering research program. The successful candidates will contribute to groundbreaking research in the field of Biomedical Engineering, specifically focusing on Telemedicine and eHealth.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Completed Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of English language at B2 level.
- Publication activity in traditional journals exclusively focused on biomedical engineering (minimum 2 publications in 1st quartile journals according to Scopus/WoS).
- Internship abroad of at least 4 months or previous experience in a research project of a minimum duration of 1 year at a minimum of 0.4 FTE with a share in the output of intellectual property protection.
- Flexibility, motivation for scientific work, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Description: The VP9 Researcher will be responsible for:
- Research and development of technical solutions related to Telemedicine and eHealth.
- Conducting experiments and analyses in specified research directions, including non-contact monitoring of vital signs and technology for monitoring therapy in the home environment.
- Implementing assistive technologies to improve the quality of life and prevent risk events in home (hospital) environments.
- Collaborating with research groups locally, nationally, and internationally.
- Publishing results in peer-reviewed journals and presenting findings at national/international scientific meetings.
- Contributing to the protection of intellectual property.
- Compliance with procedures and processes following the requirements of the grant provider.
