VRID Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025: The Vice-Rectorate for Research and Development (VRID) at the University of Concepción (UdeC) invites young researchers from all academic units to apply for the VRID Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025. This initiative aims to promote research and facilitate the integration of productive young researchers into academia and the workforce, enhancing scientific leadership and research productivity.
Postdoctoral Researcher – VRID Postdoctoral Fellowship 2025
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
Research Area: Open to all academic disciplines within the University of Concepción
Location: University of Concepción, Chile
Eligibility/Qualification:
- A Ph.D. degree obtained within the last five years.
- Submission of a research proposal.
- Open to both Chilean and international applicants.
- The applicant must have a faculty sponsor who is an expert in the research area, affiliated with an academic unit at UdeC, and has a contractual link with the university of at least 22 hours per week.
- The application must be endorsed by the Dean of the faculty of the sponsoring professor, including a support letter ensuring the necessary facilities for the project.
Job Description:
- Conduct independent research in collaboration with a sponsoring professor.
- Publish at least one Web of Science (WOS) indexed paper per year affiliated with UdeC.
- Submit a FONDECYT Postdoctoral application with the support of the sponsoring professor in the first year.
- Maintain ethical and bioethical compliance in research involving human, animal, or biological subjects.
- Acknowledge the University of Concepción in all publications and outputs from the funded research.
- The selected candidates will receive a gross annual salary of 31 million CLP, distributed monthly under a UdeC postdoctoral contract.
