3-year PhD Studentship: University College London is offering a 3-year fixed-term PhD Studentship in Signalling and Waveform Design as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network on “Integrated Sensing and Communications for Future Vehicular Systems – a Network of Doctoral Students” (ISLANDS). The successful candidate will work on Algorithms for multimodal data-based inference and prediction for climate science applications, collaborating with Professor Christos Masouros at UCL and other academic/industrial teams during secondments.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Candidates must not have a doctoral degree at the recruitment date.
- A postgraduate Master’s degree (or equivalent) is required at the time of recruitment.
- Limited residency in the host country (UCL) for the 12 months preceding the recruitment date.
- Good Undergraduate and postgraduate Master’s degree in electronic or electrical engineering, mathematics, electromagnetics, or a physical sciences subject.
- Excellent mathematical skills, a solid background in wireless communications, and understanding of radar sensing systems are desirable.
- Willingness to travel and work across Europe.
Job Description: The PhD Candidate will be part of the ISLANDS Doctoral Network and will focus on developing Algorithms for multimodal data-based inference and prediction for climate science applications. The role involves collaboration with academic and industrial teams during secondments. The salary ranges from £35,859 to £47,459 gross per annum, inclusive of the London Allowance.
