Research/Job Area-

• Electronics & Communication Engineering: Communication Engineering
• Electrical Engineering: Control and Instrumentation
• Computer Science & Engineering: Any specialization in CSE
• Civil Engineering: Any specialization in Civil Engineering

Eligibility/Qualification–

Applicants must meet the following essential qualifications:

• Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline.
• First Class in both:
  • M.E./M.Tech.
  • B.E./B.Tech.
• Must possess a consistently good academic record.
• Should demonstrate commitment to quality teaching and potential for research.

Job/Position Description- 

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Mizoram, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has invited online applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the engagement of Temporary Faculty in four engineering departments. The institute is looking for candidates with an excellent academic record, strong teaching commitment, and research potential. The initial appointment is for one semester, with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Department-wise Vacancies

• Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) – 1 Post
• Electrical Engineering (EE) – 1 Post
• Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) – 1 Post
• Civil Engineering (CE) – 1 Post

Selected candidates will:

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses.
• Participate in academic and research activities.
• Contribute to departmental development.
• Undertake responsibilities assigned by the institute.

Tenure

• Initial appointment is for one semester.
• Extendable by one semester at a time based on performance, up to a maximum of five semesters, subject to a mandatory break in service as per Ministry of Education guidelines.
• The appointment is purely temporary and does not confer any claim for permanent employment.

Salary

• Consolidated Remuneration: ₹70,000 per month (Fixed) for all departments.

The selection process consists of:

• Shortlisting of eligible candidates.
• Presentation and Interview (Hybrid Mode).

No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
