Eligibility/Qualification–

Candidates must meet the following essential qualification requirements:

  • Ph.D. in the appropriate branch/discipline.
  • First class in the preceding degree with a very good academic record throughout.
  • Candidates with a fresh Ph.D. degree may apply.
  • Post-Ph.D. experience may include relevant industrial, research, or teaching experience, excluding experience gained while pursuing the Ph.D.

The recruitment is specifically under the Special Recruitment Drive for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and PwD candidates. Valid certificates issued by the competent authority in the prescribed Government of India format must be uploaded to claim reservation.

Assistant Professor (Grade-I/Grade-II)

The starting basic pay ranges from ₹84,700 to ₹1,01,500, with basic pay fixed based on relevant post-Ph.D. experience under the 7th CPC pay structure.

Selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant Professors in the relevant academic Schools or Centres of IIT Mandi. The recruitment seeks candidates with:

  • Proven credentials in research and development.
  • Strong academic and research achievements relevant to the advertised specialization.
