Job Description:
- Euan MacDonald Centre funds one or two non-clinical PhD studentships per year.
- Applications open in Autumn for programs starting the following September.
- Projects offered by Centre Principal Investigators cover basic (laboratory), clinical, and social science aspects.
- The best candidate is selected based on application, interview, and references.
- Studentship includes UKRI-equivalent stipend, university tuition fees, travel allowance, consumables allowance, oversight by a second supervisor, thesis committee, and access to university support and training.
Enriched Experience:
- Shadow an MND Nurse Specialist, attend MND clinics/home visits, and meet people with MND.
- Participate in six-monthly seminar afternoons featuring a wide range of Centre research.
- Gain bursaries to present data at national and international MND-related meetings.
- Engage in public outreach through open days and MND Awareness events.
- Access the Centre’s communications pipeline to promote research.
