Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Fellow: ANU College of Health and Medicine, Canberra, Australia, is seeking applications for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow / Research Fellow. The role is part of the National Centre for Indigenous Genomics (NCIG), focusing on a major research project in Indigenous Pharmacogenomics. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • ANU Academic Level A or Level B
  • Doctorate in genomics, bioinformatics, quantitative biology, or related fields.
  • Track record of high-impact research in genomics, bioinformatics, and quantitative biology.
  • Exceptional technical skills with knowledge of computational technologies, DNA sequencing platforms, and large-scale genomics data analysis.
  • Experience in developing algorithms and software solutions for genomic data analyses.
  • Passion for improving Indigenous health outcomes through genomics research.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Job Description:

  • Conduct discovery research in pharmacogenomics with a focus on Indigenous Genomics.
  • Develop innovative algorithms and software solutions for genomic data analyses.
  • Perform empirical evaluations and benchmarking experiments.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of NCIG genomic resources for the benefit of Indigenous Australians.
  • Actively engage in partnerships with Indigenous communities to address health disparities.
