Eligibility/Qualification:
- Education Level: Master Degree or equivalent
- Skills/Qualifications: Intermediate skills in light- and electron microscopy, basic skills in nanoindentation, wear testing, flexibility, willingness to travel, basic or intermediate knowledge on tool steels, and thin ceramic films deposition.
- Languages: English (Good), German (Good), French (Basic)

Synthesis involves magnetron sputtering of transition metals nitrides with small additions of silver. The research includes examining microstructures, nano-hardness, Young modulus, response to elevated temperatures, adhesion, and wear performance. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Peter Jurči.
