Postdoctoral Fellow in Materials Chemistry: Stockholm University is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in Computational Materials Chemistry at the Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in chemistry or related field
  • Expertise in computational chemistry, especially in molecular dynamics simulations and density functional theory computations
  • Proficiency in programming is advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience in applying advanced statistical analyses
  • Ability to collaborate with academic groups and industrial project partners
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Completed Swedish doctoral degree or equivalent from another country

Job Description: The Postdoctoral Fellow will:

  • Develop theoretical tools for understanding physicochemical properties of 1,2,4-triazoloium-based ionic liquids and polymers with CO2
  • Conduct molecular dynamics simulations and density functional theory computations
  • Collaborate on characterization methods including infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy
  • Engage in collaborative projects with PhD students, master students, and other postdocs
  • Disseminate research outcomes through publications and presentations
