Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry, or related field.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Good analytical skills.
- Motivation for scientific problem-solving.
- Experience working with microorganisms.
- Educational background equivalent to a five-year Norwegian degree program.
Job Description:
- Design lab experiments for glycosyltransferase mutants.
- Cultivate bacterial strains for xanthan and glycosyltransferase production.
- Characterize polysaccharides using various methods, including HPLC, MS, NMR, light scattering.
- Analyze experimental data and prepare manuscripts and a doctoral thesis.
- Present results at group meetings and scientific conferences.
