Post-doctoral Position in Nanomaterials: The Faculty of Science at Charles University in Prague invites applications for a Post-doctoral Position in Catalytic Studies of Nanomaterials. The successful candidate will be part of the Department of Physical and Macromolecular Chemistry, focusing on heterogeneous catalysis with an emphasis on exploring novel zeolite catalysts.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD or equivalent in Chemistry with a focus on Heterogeneous Catalysis.
  • 4-10 years of research experience.
  • Experience in designing flow catalytic apparatus; familiarity with operating Microactivity Effi or a similar unit is an advantage.
  • Ability to independently develop and optimize GC-based analytical methods.
  • Background in material science, preferably in zeolites, MOFs, or other porous functional solids.
  • Collaborative mindset.
  • Fluent in English.

Job Description: The successful applicant will independently develop and conduct catalytic experiments using a microflow catalytic apparatus, interpreting results in terms of chemical kinetics. The focus will be on exploring the application potential of novel zeolite catalysts, contributing to the synthesis method for selectively engineering key features of acid sites in heterogeneous catalysts.
