Pre-doctoral Research Associate: The University of Notre Dame, as part of its new Poverty Initiative, is hiring three Pre-doctoral Research Associates for its Families and Communities in Transition (FACTS) initiative. The pre-doc in Economics will work closely with faculty in the Department of Economics, contributing to empirical applied microeconomic research. This two-year position provides a bridge between college and graduate school for those interested in research in economic history, demography, and higher education opportunities.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Undergraduate degree in economics, mathematics, or related social science field

- Training in econometric and statistical techniques for causal inference
- Statistical programming experience in Stata

Job Description:
- Data Analysis:
- Maintain data sets following IRB protocols
- Generate analytic files for statistical analysis
- Conduct statistical analysis and summarize results
- Keep detailed logs of research processes
- Project Management:
- Construct data sharing agreements
- Complete IRB protocols
- Arrange research team meetings
- Assist in composing research grant proposals
- Conduct literature reviews
- Project Dissemination:
- Support research team in constructing academic articles and presentations
- Disseminate results to non-academic audiences
