PhD/Postdoc Positions: Deep Learning Hardware Security at IETR – IRISA/Inria

Eligibility/Qualification:
Candidates should:

  • Hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent) or Ph.D. in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Microelectronics, Embedded Systems, or related fields
  • Possess a strong background in side-channel attacks/analysis, cryptanalysis, HW/SW security, FPGA/SoC-FPGA design, DNN/CNN implementation, or machine learning/artificial intelligence
  • Have experience in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and familiarity with Linux/Git
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English (French language skills not required)
  • Exhibit excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Description:
The selected candidate will conduct research within the framework of the ANR JCJC project ATTILA, focusing on developing secure accelerators against side-channel attacks (SCA) targeting DL systems. Research directions include DNN implementation, side-channel evaluation, countermeasure implementation, and advanced side-channel analysis techniques. The position offers the opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. or postdoctoral research in a stimulating and supportive environment, with the flexibility to develop a personalized research agenda.
