Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. degree (or close to obtaining) in biophysics or microscopy
- Practical experience and scientific maturity in biophysics and biochemistry
- Strong skills and interest in instrumentation, data analysis, and programming
- Experience with optical tweezers or single-molecule fluorescence microscopy is advantageous
- Motivation to develop interdisciplinary skills in mechanochemistry, single-molecule kinetics, and protein biochemistry
- Independent, well-organized, and reliable work style with the ability to work in a small team
- Strong publication record and excellent interpersonal communication skills
Job Description: The successful candidate will:
- Develop and employ novel advanced biophysical instrumentation to study DNA replication
- Utilize simulations and data analysis routines to analyze experimental data
- Acquire practical knowledge of protein purification, ensemble biochemistry, and sample preparation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish a scientifically outstanding research environment
- Publish research results and contribute to teaching and student mentoring activities
