  • Ph.D. degree (or close to obtaining) in biophysics or microscopy
  • Practical experience and scientific maturity in biophysics and biochemistry
  • Strong skills and interest in instrumentation, data analysis, and programming
  • Experience with optical tweezers or single-molecule fluorescence microscopy is advantageous
  • Motivation to develop interdisciplinary skills in mechanochemistry, single-molecule kinetics, and protein biochemistry
  • Independent, well-organized, and reliable work style with the ability to work in a small team
  • Strong publication record and excellent interpersonal communication skills

Job Description: The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and employ novel advanced biophysical instrumentation to study DNA replication
  • Utilize simulations and data analysis routines to analyze experimental data
  • Acquire practical knowledge of protein purification, ensemble biochemistry, and sample preparation
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish a scientifically outstanding research environment
  • Publish research results and contribute to teaching and student mentoring activities
