This position is part of the BMBF-funded project KERN, focusing on the discovery of new antibacterial ribosomally synthesized peptides (RiPPs) using artificial intelligence.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Detecting and prioritizing new RiPPs produced in engineered bacterial hosts using HPLC-QTOF-MS/MS
  • Purifying RiPP candidates and elucidating their structures using NMR spectroscopy
