Scholarship / Position Description

As a Doctoral Researcher, you will work in an excellent interdisciplinary research environment with leading scientists and gain access to state-of-the-art low-field and commercial MRI systems.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Investigating permanent magnet systems, including B0-field modeling, new shimming strategies, and magnetic field optimization for LF-MRI.
  • Developing mechanical and thermal concepts for compact MRI systems, encompassing gradient coil integration and thermal management.
  • Designing, prototyping, and validating MRI system components through simulation and hands-on experimental testing.
  • Integrating the developed concepts into existing LF-MRI scanners to enhance imaging performance, robustness, and manufacturability.
