Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in machine learning, computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, signal processing, acoustics, bioacoustics, or related fields
  • Experience in training and evaluating deep learning algorithms
  • Proficiency in Python programming
  • Strong academic writing and spoken English skills
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated

Job Description:

  • Develop machine learning algorithms for bird sound classification using deep learning techniques
  • Evaluate algorithms across different habitats, species, and seasons in Europe
  • Collaborate with international partners and researchers in signal processing, machine learning, and ecology
  • Publish research findings in academic conferences and journals
  • Deploy developed AI algorithms as reusable software
  • Conduct research with a positive environmental impact
