Postdoctoral Researcher in Agent-Based Modelling: University of Barcelona and University of Pisa seek a skilled Postdoctoral Researcher in Agent-Based Modelling for the Horizon Europe project “Models, Assessment, and Policies for Sustainability (MAPS)”. Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in ecological economics, economics, engineering/mathematics/physics, sustainability science, or related field.
- Track record of relevant research publications.
- Knowledge of socio-ecological transitions and sustainability implications.
- Strong programming skills in Python (OOP), Julia, C/C++ or similar language (2+ years of experience).
- Expertise in mathematical modelling.
- Data analytics and visualization skills.
- Motivation to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English.
Job Description:
- Construct agent-based model (ABM) to analyze behavioral and lifestyle changes in society within environmental constraints.
- Collaborate with University of Pisa and University of Barcelona.
- Spend most time in Barcelona under supervision of Dr. Jordi Solé, with regular visits to Pisa under supervision of Dr. Simone D’Alessandro.
