Eisenhower Postdoctoral Research Fellow: Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking exceptional postdoctoral candidates with demonstrated scientific productivity to define and pursue a novel research project aligned with its mission.
Designation: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Research Area: Fundamental sciences and engineering
Location: Aiken, SC, United States
Eligibility/Qualification:
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD degree in fundamental sciences or engineering obtained within the last 36 months or expected completion within the next 12 months.
- Critical thinking and data analysis skills.
- Demonstrated ability to explore innovative scientific concepts.
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
Job Description:
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing research projects, publishing impactful results, collaborating with internal and external teams, and ensuring compliance with all standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage research project (schedule, costs, and milestones).
- Publish impactful results in the open literature.
- Partner with research team members.
- Communicate clearly both written and verbally.
- Understand the job role and its interaction with the team.
- Educate and share technical knowledge.
- Participate in community service activities.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and standards.
