Post Doc Position in Plant Nanotechnology: The Institute of Plant Genetics PAS in Poznań invites applications for the position of adjunct (post doc) in the Plant Nanotechnology Department. This is a temporary, full-time position for 12-24 months, offering a gross monthly salary of approximately 8,300.00 PLN.

  4. 🧬 Structure-Property Relationship: Exploring the relationship between the structure of nanoconfined enzymes and their catalytic activity against multiple stresses provides insights into enzyme behavior in complex environments.
  5. 🤝 Tandem Biocatalysis Validation: Validating the efficacy of nanoconfined enzymes in tandem biocatalysis, especially in the presence of ionic liquids, offers potential advancements in enzymatic processes for various industrial applications.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD or equivalent in Chemical Science, Nanotechnology, or related disciplines.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in basic biophysical techniques, chemical synthesis, biocatalysis, enzyme kinetics.
  • Familiarity with methods and techniques in protein stability studies, synthesis, and characterization of ionic liquids and nanocomposites, and molecular docking.

Job Description: The successful candidate will engage in high-quality scientific research, mentor students and visitors, prepare impactful scientific articles for publication, and draft progress reports. The research scope includes:

  • Encapsulation of enzymes in biopolymer-based nanocontainers using protein-friendly ionic liquids.
  • Investigation of enzyme behavior under multiple stresses within nanoconfined environments.
  • Evaluation of nanoconfined enzyme efficacy in tandem biocatalysis with ionic liquids.
