Materials Simulations Research Positions (Postdoc/PhD Student)
Designation:
- Postdoctoral/Research Scientist Position (Salary: $57K-$60K; Duration: 1-2 years)
- PhD Student Position
Research Area:
Materials Simulations, with emphasis on biomaterials, nanomaterials, interfacial electron transfer/redox, biological systems (proteins, lipids, and nucleotides), polymers, or nanoparticles using multiscale simulations.

Eligibility/Qualification:
For Postdoctoral/Research Scientist Position:
- Expertise in QM/MM, AIMD, Neural Network MD, cellular simulation, or/and kinetic Monte Carlo.
- Proficiency in simulations of interfacial redox and electron transfer, enzymatic reactions, polymers, or nanoparticles.
- Strong programming skills.
- BS, MS, or PhD degree in Engineering or Science.
For PhD Student Position:
- Research experience in simulations (quantum mechanics, coarse-grained, atomistic, machine learning, or machine learning).
- Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++, Fortran, and Python.
- BS or MS degree in Engineering or Science.
- TOEFL (minimum 80) or IELTS (minimum 6.5) required; GRE waived.
Job Description:
For Postdoctoral/Research Scientist Position:
- Conduct simulations of biomaterials or nanomaterials focusing on interfacial electron transfer/redox, biological systems, polymers, or nanoparticles.
- Utilize expertise in QM/MM, AIMD, Neural Network MD, or kinetic Monte Carlo.
- Develop and apply computational models to investigate complex systems.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals.
For PhD Student Position:
- Conduct research on materials simulation under the guidance of senior researchers.
- Develop and implement computational models for biomaterials or nanomaterials.
- Utilize programming skills to analyze simulation data.
- Collaborate with peers and contribute to research publications.
