Postdoctoral Position in Ecological Agriculture: The Ceres Centre project “Ecological intensification of agriculture: supporting transition to sustainable agri-food systems resilient to climate change” (R23F0003) is inviting applications for a postdoctoral position funded by ANID and the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. The research focuses on evaluating the performance of ecological intensification of agriculture in central Chile under complex environmental and socio-institutional conditions.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in agriculture/biology/ecology or related disciplines
- Strong record of high-quality scientific publications
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
- Available to start working by June 2024
- Possession of a driving license and experience driving in rural areas (desirable)
- Chilean citizenship or foreigners with Chilean residence
- Willingness to collaborate and work across associated laboratories in Chile and overseas
Job Description:
- Dedication to the project approximately 30 hours per week
- Coordination of undergraduate and graduate students
- Design, establishment, and management of field/lab experiments and fieldwork within Valparaíso region
- Data analysis and publication of scientific manuscripts
- Strict confidentiality regarding project results
- Participation in national and international scientific meetings
- Engagement in outreach activities
- Annual report submission of activities
- Collaboration with project administration
