Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD/DPhil in Biology or a related subject
  • High level of competence in cell biology
  • Relevant experience demonstrated by first author publications in high-profile journals
  • Organised, highly motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team

Job Description:
The successful candidate will join Prof. Ivan Ahel’s group to investigate the roles of ADP-ribosylation and/or ubiquitylation signalling in DNA damage and/or nucleic acid immunity responses. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing own academic research
  • Adapting existing and developing new scientific techniques and experimental protocols
  • Designing and executing experiments with limited supervision to achieve project goals
