Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Immunology, Clinical Research, Cell Biology, or a related field
- Strong academic record with at least one publication/preprint
- Background in immunology, gastroenterology, cell biology, and/or mass spectrometry
- Experience with primary cell cultures and/or proteomics or other -omics analyses
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills in English
Job Description: The successful candidate will work on a project studying human intestinal lymphocytes from Coeliac disease patients, focusing on the effects of immunomodulators. The role involves:
- Conducting research with patient samples obtained in Sheffield
- Using cutting-edge proteomics and -omics technologies
- Analyzing big data to decipher signalling pathways in autoimmune T cell activation
- Collaborating with clinical and basic research teams, including Dr. Hugo Penny and Prof. David Sanders
- Presenting research findings at national and international meetings
- Engaging with the public and patients
- Assisting in training PhD students and lab members
