Junior Researcher: We are looking for a candidate holding a doctoral degree in Chemistry, or related scientific area, to conduct research in the field of peptide-based biomaterials, and undertake supervision and dissemination activities within the scope of MOBILIsE. The applicant will work at the Molecular Biomaterials Group, led by the ERA Chair Holder Helena Azevedo.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Mandatory:
- PhD degree in Chemistry, or related scientific area, with less than 3 years of postdoctoral experience
- Preferential:
- Experience and interest in peptide therapeutics
- Track record in peptide chemistry and peptide-based materials, as evidenced by high quality publications and conference presentations
- Skilled in solid and solution phase peptide synthesis and combination methods
- Experience with analytical and preparative high-performance chromatography (HPLC) for peptide characterization and purification
- Experience in molecular interactions techniques, such as UV-visible, fluorescence and circular dichroism (CD) spectrophotometry, surface plasmon resonance (SPR), isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC)
- Good communication and presentation skills, with proven ability to write and prepare research papers
- A team player with the ability to supervise the work of students and technicians
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Job Description:
The selected candidate will conduct research in the field of peptide-based biomaterials within the scope of MOBILIsE, undertake supervision and dissemination activities, work with the Molecular Biomaterials Group led by ERA Chair Holder Helena Azevedo, and participate in writing and preparing research papers.
