PhD Position in Organic Chemistry: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic PhD student to join our research team at the Laboratoire de Glycochimie et des Agroressources d’Amiens (LG2A) at UFR des Sciences, University of Picardie Jules Verne (UPJV) in Amiens, France. The position is funded for 36 months by the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research (MENRT). The project focuses on the synthesis of novel Toll Like Receptor modulators for the regulation of inflammation and neuro-inflammation.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master 2 degree specialized in Organic Chemistry
- Strong knowledge and autonomy in organic synthesis, bibliographic research (Reaxys), multi-step synthesis of sugars, purification, and characterization of new compounds
- High ranking in both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, involvement, and motivation for research
- Ability to present research findings and propose future research directions
Job Description:
- Synthesize new oligosaccharides with structural and functional diversity
- Expand the library of compounds for a Structure-Activity Relationship (SAR) study
- Validate molecular modeling studies to determine critical interactions between the synthesized compounds and Toll Like Receptors (TLR4)
- Evaluate the interaction capabilities of synthesized compounds with receptors involved in inflammation
- Present and document research findings, and propose further research strategies
