Eligibility/Qualification
- Master of Science (MSc) degree or equivalent (minimum 240 higher education credits) in relevant fields such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, or similar.
- Basic experience in microbiological, biochemical, and chemical laboratory practices.
- Fluent in both verbal and written English.
- Demonstrated skills in molecular biology, microbiology, microbiological cultivation techniques, protein production and purification, enzymology, and/or analytical techniques are advantageous.
Job Description
As a PhD student, you will be responsible for:
- Managing your research project, including planning and executing experiments and analyzing results.
- Laboratory tasks such as microbial cultivation, cloning, protein production, purification, enzymology, and chemical/material analysis.
- Communicating results through meetings, presentations at conferences, and publications in scientific journals.
- Contributing to undergraduate teaching or other departmental duties, up to 20% of working hours.
- Participating in the maintenance of instruments and supervising MSc and BSc students.
