Postdoctoral Position in Molecular Microbiology: Join the Faculty of Biology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich) as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Molecular Microbiology. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the area of sulfate-reducing bacteria and gain valuable experience in a supportive and stimulating research environment.
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/x)
Research Area: Molecular Microbiology, focusing on the analysis of chemotactic and signaling capabilities of Desulfovibrio spp. using multi-omics approaches.
Location: Planegg/Martinsried, Munich, Germany
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or biophysics
- Strong interest in working with obligate anaerobic bacteria
Job Description:
The successful candidate will work in the group of Prof. Dr. Kirsten Jung in the Department of Microbiology at the Faculty of Biology, LMU Munich. The project involves analyzing the molecular mechanisms underlying the physiology and pathogenicity of sulfate-reducing bacteria. Using multi-omics approaches, such as transcriptomics and proteomics, the aim is to identify the key players in the perception and response to environmental challenges.
