Postdoctoral Position in Physics: A postdoctoral position is available for an enthusiastic and skilled physicist to work on the development of new separation processes based on nanopores in microporous polymers. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the understanding of complex fluid behaviors at the nanoscale.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in physics, statistical mechanics, physical chemistry, or materials science
  • Experience in scientific programming and molecular simulations
  • 1 to 4 years of relevant experience

Job Description:
The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for:

  • Developing realistic models of mixtures in microporous polymers using molecular simulations
  • Characterizing the structural and dynamic properties of confined fluids and their interactions with polymer surfaces
  • Scaling molecular findings to the macroscopic level using a network-based approach
  • Using the network model to predict the macroscopic permeability and selectivity of PIM membranes
