Genomics Postdoctoral Fellowship: Join Dr. Tongwu Zhang’s team within NCI’s Division of Cancer Epidemiology & Genetics (DCEG) Biostatistics Branch as a postdoctoral fellow. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative computational methods and diverse sequencing technologies to study cancer genomics, focusing on tumor heterogeneity, tumor evolution, and emerging cancer genomic features.

Location: Rockville, MD

Eligibility/Qualification: Ph.D. (current or soon to be completed) in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, biostatistics, applied mathematics, or a related field.

Job Description: As a postdoctoral fellow, you will be conducting research to characterize tumor heterogeneity and evolution in relation to specific genetic backgrounds and etiological factors. You will investigate cutting-edge aspects of cancer genomics, explore emerging cancer genomic features, and develop innovative computational methods, interactive visualization tools, and data portals to gain a deeper understanding of complex cancer genomic features. You will also have the opportunity to lead or co-lead international collaborative projects on cancer genomics and receive mentorship from DCEG colleagues to analyze large-scale and high-dimensional genomic data.
