Eligibility/Qualification: Candidates must have an MSc or PhD in Computational Biology or a related discipline. Proficiency in Python and R, experience with NGS data analysis, and familiarity with NexFlow, Docker, and Singularity are highly recommended. Knowledge of genome annotation strategies and a strong interest in biodiversity studies are essential. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required.
Job Description:
- Collaborate on the “FAIRification of IsoSeq Evidence-driven annotation of biodiversity” project.
- Develop and validate long-read supported genome annotation pipelines.
- Work closely with the ERGA community to enhance genome annotation workflows.
- Contribute to the open-source development of tools within the ELIXIR and ERGA infrastructures.
