Postdoctoral Position in Near-Infrared Spectroscopy and Diffuse Correlation Spectroscopy for Critical Care

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. (or evidence of completion in the near future) in Physics, Engineering (Electrical, Biomedical, Physics Engineering), or related fields.
- Candidates from clinical sciences backgrounds are also welcome.
- Proven experience in:
- Diffuse optics
- Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) and/or Diffuse Correlation Spectroscopy (DCS)
- Participation in in vivo studies
- Biostatistics and clinical data analysis is a plus
Job Description:
The successful candidate will join the Medical Optics research group led by Prof. Turgut Durduran. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting clinical studies and trials focused on NIRS and DCS applications in critical care.
- Collaborating with Parc Tauli Hospital (PI: Jaume Mesquida).
- Overseeing data acquisition, analysis, interpretation, and designing new protocols and probes.
- Continuing work on HEMOCOVID-19, VASCOVID, and REHAB COVID projects.
