Environmental Research Fellowship: The Environmental Transport Lab at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, is offering a fully funded scholarship opportunity for two PhD students and a postdoctoral scholar. The positions are affiliated with the Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geo-Engineering and the Saint Anthony Falls Laboratory, focusing on fluid mechanics, geophysics, coastal engineering, and environmental contaminant transport dynamics.

Research Area: Candidates will be involved in studying the dynamics of water, particles, chemicals, and bacteria in diverse aquatic environments such as rivers, coasts, and soil.

Eligibility/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, physics, or related fields
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work in diverse research environments
  • Laboratory experience with microfluidics, flume experiments, or related systems (preferred)
