Research Area: Bacterial diversity, genetic variation, niche adaptation, and virulence in Salmonella enterica serovar Dublin.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Hold a PhD in Microbiology, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline.
- Strong background in sequence analysis.
- Good understanding of long and short read sequencing.
- Awareness of Salmonella zoonosis.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Job Description:
- Investigate the genetic basis of virulence in Salmonella enterica serovar Dublin.
- Collaborate on a project with the University of Edinburgh.
- Perform long-read sequencing of S. Dublin isolates.
- Conduct genomic variation analysis to investigate virulence.
- Sequence isolates from in vitro and in vivo phenotyping.
- Collaborate with a UoE research scientist to link genotype to phenotype.
