Postdoctoral Fellow – 2D Materials: We are seeking passionate and experienced individuals to join Prof Barbaros Oezyilmaz’s group at the National University of Singapore (NUS) as Postdoctoral Fellows. The research will be conducted at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE), Department of Physics, and Centre for Advanced 2D Materials (CA2DM). The focus will be on 2D materials for the semiconductor industry and 2D foams for energy storage, with opportunities to collaborate closely with industry partners.

Job Description:
The successful candidates will collaborate with Prof Barbaros Oezyilmaz’s group in the following areas:
- Advancing technology to synthesize nano-porous composites beyond graphene
- Developing next-generation supercapacitors and pseudo-capacitors utilizing graphene nanofoam
- Demonstrating the use of nanofoam in powering electric cars, satellites, and wearable electronics
- Synthesizing layered 2D amorphous materials beyond carbon
- Developing use cases for functional 2D amorphous films to address industry challenges, such as Cu diffusion barriers for the semiconductor industry
