Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Computational Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related fields with excellent grades.
- Interest in modelling production processes.
- Background in nonlinear solid mechanics, computational methods, materials science, and/or electromagnetism.
- Strong programming skills.
- High degree of responsibility and independence.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with academic and industrial partners.
- Proficiency in English (IELTS minimum score 6.5 or TOEFL-iBT minimum score 90).
Job Description:
The project involves:
- Developing physics-based models for electromagnetic measurements of steel sheets across various grades in industrial production lines.
- Enhancing models to account for dislocation density, phase distribution, and residual stresses affecting magnetic responses.
- Reporting research during bi-weekly meetings and collaborating with an industrial partner.
- Presenting findings at international scientific conferences and contributing to academic journal publications.
- Mentoring MSc students on related projects.
