Eligibility/Qualification

  • Degree: Possession of a Master of Science (MSc) diploma.
  • Background: Strong background in Physics or Materials Science.
  • Experience: Not required to have a doctoral degree prior to recruitment.
  • Language: Proficiency in written and spoken English; a language certificate is required.
  • Mobility Rule: Applicants must not have resided or conducted their main activities in the Netherlands for more than 12 months in the last 3 years.

Description

The PhD candidate will work on:

  1. Preparing thin films of Sn-based PSK and characterizing their structure and performance.
  2. Investigating the role of additives to suppress oxidation in Sn halide inks.
  3. Replacing conventional hole-transport layers to improve device compatibility.
  4. Demonstrating lab-scale efficiencies and stability of Sn-PSK-based indoor photovoltaics.

The research is conducted under the supervision of Professor Maria Antonietta Loi and involves collaboration across several international research institutions.
