Research AreaAtomistic and Molecular Modelling for Catalysis Focused on Sustainable Hydrogen Storage Materials
LocationCIC energiGUNE, Spain
Eligibility/Qualification– PhD in Chemistry, Physics, Computational Chemistry, Nanoscience, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
– Strong background in modelling (electro)catalytic processes using periodic DFT.
– Proficiency in programming and experience with hydrogen storage materials are highly desirable.
Job Description– Model resting states of photo- and electrocatalysts under relevant experimental conditions.
– Conduct mechanistic studies for production of liquid organic hydrogen carriers from biomass.
– Screen and fine-tune photo- and electrocatalysts to enhance performance.
– Collaborate closely with experimental partners and present research findings in group and project meetings.
