Research Area
The project will include studies in transcription regulation, chromatin biology, developmental genetics, computational analyses of multi-omic datasets, and will primarily utilize zebrafish as a model organism to investigate the regulatory landscape influencing development and injury responses.
Eligibility/Qualification
- A first degree in a relevant field (biological, biomedical, natural sciences, mathematics, computer science).
- Laboratory experience with developmental genetics or genomics tools.
- Experience with complex datasets and next-generation sequencing data is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of analytical capability.
- Willingness to travel for international research secondments.
Description
The selected candidate will:
- Conduct research into transcription regulation and cis regulatory interactions related to telencephalon injury and regeneration.
- Participate in the DANIO-ReCODE project, collaborating with an international team.
- Engage in developmental gene manipulation, single-cell genomics technologies, and computational data analysis.
- Present research findings in various academic contexts and contribute to public engagement activities.
